Total Rail Solutions (TRS) the complete rail service provider, is pleased to announce a new community initiative and partnership with Newbury Rugby Football Club.
Founded in 1928 the club plays in the Southwest Premier, a league positioned at tier five in the English rugby union system, having been promoted as champions in 2018-19 season. The club is located on Monks Lane in Newbury and is affiliated with the RFU, Gallagher Rugby and Sport England.
Total Rail CEO Paul Bateman said “When the business relocated to Newbury in 2020, we felt partnering with a local, community-based club would be a good thing and the right thing for the company to consider. When we met the team at Newbury Blues, we realised we had found the ideal partner. Inclusivity, diversity, passion and empowerment are a number of the values both the club and our business share. We were particularly impressed with how the club positions itself at the centre of the community, ensuring it gives the widest opportunity to all genders and ages from all backgrounds”.
David Jones – Newbury Rugby Football Club President said, “Newbury RFC are delighted and very grateful to be involved with and have the support of Total Rail Solutions. We are a members club supporting the local Community on and off the pitch. We have over 500 rugby playing members from juniors (boys and girls) to senior men and ladies. The club has an amazing supporter base, we are privileged to enjoy our rugby at Monks Lane. Amateur rugby only happens at this level due to volunteers giving their time and the wonderful support of sponsors. A big thank you to Total Rail Solutions, we look forward to working with you for many years to come”.
Paul continued “We look forward to working with and supporting the club with both on field and off field activities. It is important we ensure that supporters and the community see more than just a TRS sponsors board around the pitch. For our part, we will look to be inclusive and thoughtful, regarding for example, how we best utilise and share, the match day tickets with the good causes and initiative in and around the town”.
Total Rail Solutions wish all the players, teams, support staff, organisers and committee, the very best of luck for the forthcoming season and look forward to becoming part of the club and the community.
