We’re pleased to announce the expansion of our operations with the opening of our new depot in Cwmbran, near Newport, Wales.
The new permanent office and yard space is a direct result of our continued presence in Wales. We have been working on the electrification programme between Bristol and Cardiff for the past 11 months, supporting a number of new and existing clients across South Wales.
The next step on our growth journey
As TRS continues its journey of growth and investment, our new depot in Cwmbran is the next step in expanding our business. It makes sense to locate our next depot in a region where there is a commitment to long-term investment in rail infrastructure.
Our Chief Operating Officer, Paul Bateman comments:
“With Transport for Wales guaranteeing extensive infrastructure upgrades and the KeolisAmey contract already bringing plans to realisation, we felt the time was right to commit to a permanent presence in Wales. This depot makes us ideally located to support upcoming projects and work closely with clients – old and new. Having worked on numerous electrification, civils and enhancement projects across England and Wales, we believe we have the skills and experience to rival the best”.
Investment equals the best fleet and services
The depot opening follows a busy couple of years for us. Over the past three years we’ve invested £15m in new plant and last year we introduced an in-house transport service and launched a new online customer ordering system. In addition, we’ve also expanded our services to include contracting civils work and labour provisions.
No matter which depot we work from, we’re committed to offering our customers the widest choice of services and best customer experience possible. This includes providing the most advanced fleet of RRVs, a diversely skilled workforce and supporting these with excellent customer service from the minute a client gets in touch.
