Fleet investment brings reliability benefits

As part of a five year investment plan to enhance our transport infrastructure, TRS has Van fleetseen many new arrivals to our fleet so far in 2017.  In April we replaced our service vans with 120 brand new Ford Connects and Ford Couriers for our operations and maintenance teams.

We also took delivery of three new Mercedes Sprinter pick-up trucks in Spring and we’ll soon be taking delivery of a new artic hiab lorry.  We’ll then have four low loaders, 2 rigid hiabs, one artic and two recently upgraded Kassbohrer trailers.

Sprinter pick up truckIn line with our objective to undertake more deliveries in-house, we continue to expand our heavy haulage fleet and this year have carried out 80% of deliveries in-house, improving efficiency and reliability.

At the same time our focus on health and safety remains a priority and we’re proud that all of our drivers are FORS bronze accredited and receive PTS Sentinal, CPCS Loader/Securer A50, Hiab operator and Crossrail Lorry Driver training.
