Making a change in the rail industry is about collaboration – working together for the good of everyone.

That is why we take our approach to health and mental wellbeing seriously.

Our health, safety and mental wellbeing support team has completed hundreds of health checks on the frontline to not only TRS colleagues, but our supply chain partners and our customers too.

Eradicating fatigue

Fatigue is a huge contributor to accidents and incidents occurring in the rail industry. That is why we take the fatigue management of all of our colleagues so very seriously

We have put intense systems in place to make sure all who represent TRS are looked after. From telematics reports for our fleet, through to safety audits before a shift starts, we are doing everything we can to make sure fatigue is not a factor in any part of our frontline colleagues’ working day.

Training to shape behaviour and encourage leadership

Behaviour has a huge impact on safety in the rail sector. It is why non-technical skills for all operatives is so important.

We invest heavily in behavioural training, arming our frontline colleagues with the knowledge and skills to identify behaviours and act accordingly.

It is one of the many ways in which we can lead from the frontline and promote leadership skills all the way through the business.
